Data Projectors - Brightness

Brightness is measured in lumens, and is a measure of the projectors light output. Note that this alone does not dictate how bright an image will appear to be - the larger the projected image, the less bright it will be! Double the screen area, and for a given projector, there will be half the brightness. Another factor is linearity - the degree to which the brightness is even across the screen. All projectors have less brightness at the screen edges than at the screen centre. Few manufacturers state this parameter, so it is often difficult to compare projectors.
